Welcome to Accra
On behalf of the Government of Ghana I, along with my colleagues, would like to extend a warm welcome you each of you to Accra to attend the ATTES Summit, being organised by an Irish-based industrial business platform called ALPHA on 17, 18 & 19 February 2020.
Having such a distinguished group of people in our capital is a very welcome development, coming at a time when a spotlight is being shone on Africa’s new status as a continent to be reckoned with in terms of what it offers investors and potential partners from all over the world.
The ATTES Summit is just the sort of bold initiative our country and our continent needs as Africa reaches a new phase in its commercial and industrial development, with new markets opening up and heightened demands emerging from an expanding domestic base and a general air of optimism replacing the difficulties of the past.
This hugely important event will see an unprecedented meeting of minds and a pooling of ideas that will have a vital influence on our future well-being.
We are delighted that Accra has been chosen for sucha high profile event that brings the continent of Africa vital economic trade links together under one roof. We are proud of our country and we are proud of Accra, our capital.
We hope you all enjoy what we have to offer here as we bring you all the attractions of West Africa and the charm of our capital and that you will return home enriched and with a greater understanding of what this continent has to offer you.
Hon Carlos Ahenkorah
